Bacon may be one of the greatest and most useful foods on the planet. When bacon isn’t combating hangovers, its serving another purpose – cutting through steel. Theodore Gray attempted to make an alternative thermal lance using nothing but bacon and oxygen instead of iron and magnesium. Bacon stores an incredible amount of energy in its fat and protein, a fact Theodore hoped to capitalize on in the construction of his cutting tool. In the end, Theodore was able to construct a 5000 degree plasma lance using nothing but a stream of oxygen and tightly wrapped prosciutto.
