The Internet was abuzz over the privacy case between Apple and the FBI over the iPhone used by the San Bernadino shooters. The FBI alleged Apple should unlock the phone for them so they could conduct forensics and identify possible shadow accomplices. Apple meanwhile rallied on a ruling declaring they did not have to. Then all of a sudden, the FBI backed off the pressure when external vendors began offering to help break into the iPhone and succeeded. Currently, the FBI briefed Senators on the method used by the Israelis to unlock the phone. Naturally, the Internet is turning against big bad government again and demanding the FBI release the technical details so that Apple can patch the exploit vector.
